What days do your sessions run?
Woodland Playgroup is every Monday and Friday mornings at Squirrel Wood, DN6 9FE all year round.
Nature Babies is now included within regular playgroup, where a dedicated area for pre-walkers will be provided.
During school holidays, a variety of themed story trails, events and Forest School Style sessions are available.

Where are your sessions based?
Sessions are held in Doncaster at Squirrel Wood, DN6 9FE; a very large scout camp just outside Burghwallis. Just off the A19 or A1.
Do you offer taster sessions?
No, as you can book for a single session or discounted blocks.
Do you offer discounted places for siblings?
YES! Siblings are half price! (Unless otherwise stated).
Do you offer childminder discounts?
YES! I offer buy 2 get 3rd free.
Do adults have to pay for a place?
No, although adults are limited to 2 per child.
Do you provide private sessions?

Is there a toilet on site?
Yes, there is a disabled toilet and baby change area available. However, if scouts are on site we have to use a pop up toilet tent.
What should I wear?
You should dress yourself and your child in suitable outdoor, old clothing depending on the weather. Even on a hot summers day, it can be chilly under the tree canopy. Long sleeves and trousers are recommended for scrapes and nettles. Warm hat, scarf, gloves, wellies and welly socks are reccommended during winter. Layers are also advised.
What if it’s raining?
Sessions will still take place in the rain. Sessions will be cancelled if high winds, thunderstorms, lightning or severe weather warnings are issued. If a session is cancelled I will try to rearrange or you will be offered a place in lieu at another playgroup session.
Can I cancel my session?
Yes, although no refunds will be given.

Is there parking on site?
Yes, once your place is booked, parking details will be sent with your booking confirmation.
What ages do you accept?
Playgroup sessions are recommended for under 7s. Pre-walking babies are free with a paying older sibling.
School holiday Forest School sessions are recommended for up to 11 years.
Do I have to stay with my child?
Yes, Forest Friends is a stay and play woodland playgroup.
What type of activities do you provide?
A wide range of outdoor activities such as mud kitchen, hammock, rope swings, dens, crafts and bug hunting. Each session has a theme with different crafts and play trays so every session is a little different!
Forest School Style sessions provide den building, bug hunting, hammocks, rope swing, Ninja Slackline, tools and campfire!
